Sign The Waiver

One signature, two covers. This agreement is Fireside 610's release and Okeechobee Shooting Sports' own waiver in one document, plus the Hog Hunt rules. Sign it once per registration and it covers every Fireside activity this season.

Who signs here: a man someone else registered, a man on a credit or comp, or anyone a captain sent this link. The man who pays signs this same agreement inside checkout, so if you just registered yourself you are already done.

It takes about two minutes. You get a copy by email, and Fireside can show the range you signed. No signed waiver means no range and no stand.

Fireside 610 Participant Agreement, Release and Waiver of Liability. Season 2026-27. Version 2026-11-05. Covers every Fireside gathering at Okeechobee Shooting Sports, the Hog Hunt and every related Fireside activity through June 30, 2027.

Read This Before You Sign

This Agreement waives important legal rights. By signing it you give up your right to sue Fireside 610, Okeechobee Shooting Sports, LLC and Camp Okeechobee, LLC, the owners of any property where a Fireside activity is held, and the other Released Parties for injuries, including catastrophic injury and death, that may happen during a Fireside activity, even when those injuries are caused by the ordinary negligence of a Released Party. Fireside activities involve firearms, live ammunition, outdoor exertion in Florida heat and, for the Hog Hunt, elevated stands, off-road vehicles and wild animals. Read every section. You have the right to talk to a lawyer before you sign.

1. Parties And Term

This Participant Agreement, Release and Waiver of Liability (the "Agreement") is between the adult participant signing below ("I", "me", "the Participant") and Fireside 610 (also known as Fireside Ministries and Fireside Brotherhood), together with its officers, directors, board members, captains, coaches, instructors, speakers, members, volunteers, employees, agents, organizers, hosts, sponsors, successors and assigns ("Fireside").

The "Released Parties" are Fireside; Okeechobee Shooting Sports, LLC and Camp Okeechobee, LLC, their owners, operators, directors, officers, agents, employees, landowners, instructors and volunteers (the "Range"); the owners, lessees, operators, family members, employees, guides and agents of any private ranch, farm or other property where a Fireside activity is held, including the ranch that hosts the Hog Hunt (the "Property Hosts"); any other range or facility where Fireside qualification, zeroing or training takes place, including Palm Beach Shooting Sports; and every speaker, guide, vendor and contractor working with Fireside at an activity.

This Agreement covers the Fireside event I am registering for and every other Fireside activity I take part in through June 30, 2027, including gatherings at the Range, the Hog Hunt and any related qualification, zeroing, scouting or stand day, Fireside meals and fires, and travel between parts of an activity. Fireside asks me to sign this Agreement again each time I register. Each signature renews it; none of them is a waiver of the earlier ones.

2. The Activities

Fireside gatherings are one-day men's events held at Okeechobee Shooting Sports, a live-fire outdoor shooting facility at 7055 NE 48th St, Okeechobee, FL 34972. They include the handling, loading, firing and storage of pistols, rifles and other firearms; live ammunition; instruction and supervised live-fire drills by class, including drills with movement and against the clock; drawing from a holster where the Range permits it; prolonged standing, walking and exertion outdoors in heat, humidity, sun, rain and cold; an open fire; meals and drinks coordinated by Fireside; and interaction with other participants of varying skill.

The Hog Hunt is a one-day wild hog hunt on a private working ranch near the St. Lucie and Okeechobee County line. It includes a qualification course of fire at a range beforehand; riding in and on utility vehicles, buggies and trucks over rough ground; climbing into and sitting in elevated and ground stands, some shared by two men; firing centerfire rifles at wild hogs from those stands in daylight and low light; wild hogs, cattle, snakes, alligators, insects and other animals; tracking, dragging, field dressing and transporting game with knives and hands; fences, gates, brush, holes, water and mud; a meal and a fire at the barn; and the drive in and out on unlit ranch roads.

Together these are the "Activities". Fireside may change the schedule, the venue, the course of fire or the format of any Activity at any time for safety, weather or any other reason.

3. Part B: The Range's Rules And The Range's Own Waiver

Okeechobee Shooting Sports requires every visitor, including spectators, to complete its liability waiver and to follow its General Range Rules. Fireside has built both into this Agreement so that one signature covers the Range and Fireside together. I agree to follow the Range's General Range Rules below, the Range's additional rules for the specific range I am using, and every command of a Range Safety Officer, Range staff or Fireside captain, immediately and without argument. I understand the Range's current rules are posted at https://okshooting.com/rates-and-rules/ and at the Range, and that they control if they differ from the copy below.

Okeechobee Shooting Sports General Range Rules

  • No open toed shoes.
  • Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times near any shooting area.
  • All actions must be kept open unless on the firing line and the range is hot.
  • No loaded firearms behind the firing line or while people are down range.
  • All firearms must be pointed in a safe direction at ALL TIMES whether transporting them to the firing line or on the firing line.
  • A Range Safety Officer (RSO) must be present at all times.
  • If an RSO is not present, please notify the main office (863-357-3006) prior to handling any firearms.
  • Only use the range designated for your course of fire.
  • Be courteous and aware of shooters around you and on other ranges.
  • Notify your RSO or range staff of any unsafe firearm handling or behavior.
  • If you have any questions or are unclear about any safety procedures, please speak with range staff prior to handling any firearm.
  • Be absolutely sure of what is behind your target and where your bullets will be going after they have hit or passed through their intended target or if they miss the intended target!
  • If a bullet goes over the berm, or if you have an accidental discharge, you will not be permitted to shoot the rest of the day.
  • No firing from the hip on any range.
  • Make sure the ammunition you intend to use is permitted on the range you intend to use it on.

Rifle And Pistol Range Rules

  • No drawing from the holster, except in the Draw and Shoot Booths on the Pistol Gallery.
  • No holstered firearms unless you are certified law enforcement with badge displayed.
  • No interactive targets, such as steel targets, cans, bottles etc.
  • Events, matches and instruction: the Range Safety Officer will advise of rules specific to the event and location.

I also agree to the Range's own waiver, the "Okeechobee Shooting Sports and Camp Okeechobee Perpetual Waiver and Release Agreement", which is set out word for word below and incorporated into this Agreement. Where it says "I" it means me, and the release in it runs to Okeechobee Shooting Sports, LLC and Camp Okeechobee, LLC exactly as written. I understand the Range may also ask me to sign its waiver at the Pro Shop when I arrive, and I will. Fireside may give the Range a copy of this signed Agreement, including my name and contact details, as proof that I have agreed to the Range's terms and released the Range.

Okeechobee Shooting Sports and Camp Okeechobee Perpetual Waiver and Release Agreement

Please read carefully before signing. This is a release of liability and a waiver of certain rights.

In consideration for my being permitted to be on the property and or participate in the activities of camping sport shooting and or training I agree to the following waiver and release.

I agree that the activities involved in camping and the shooting sports and or training have inherent risks, hazards, and dangers for anyone, which cannot be eliminated.

I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS INCLUDE WITHOUT LIMITATION: 1. The risks of handling firearms and being near others that have firearms in their possession. 2. The risk of ear damage from noise. 3. The risk of injury from ammunition, target pieces and shot from other guns. 4. Ricochets from targets or projectiles. 5. Inclement weather conditions and animals or insects. 6. The risk of damage to property by others or flying debris or projectiles.

For ear and eye protection, we recommend you use proper earplugs or muffs and protective glasses. If you do not, you are doing so at your own choice, and in violation of our rules.

I understand the risks, hazards and dangers as described above and have had the opportunity to discuss them with Okeechobee Shooting Sports, LLC and Camp Okeechobee, LLC. personnel. I understand that these activities require good physical conditioning and a degree of skill and knowledge necessary for me to engage in the activities safely. I understand that I have responsibilities. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary. No one is forcing me to participate, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks.

I AM VOLUNTARILY USING THE SERVICES AND FACILITY OF CAMP OKEECHOBEE, LLC. OKEECHOBEE SHOOTING SPORTS, LLC WITH THE FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE INHERENT RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS INVOLVED AND HEREBY ASSUME AND ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY, PARALYSIS, OR DEATH.

Lastly, I for myself, my heirs, successors, executors, and subrogates hereby KNOWINGLY AND INTENTIONALLY WAIVE, RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS CAMP OKEECHOBEE, LLC. AND OKEECHOBEE SHOOTING SPORTS, LLC their directors, officers, agents, employees, Land owners, instructors and volunteers from and against any and all claims, actions, causes of action, liabilities, suits, expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) which are related to, arise out of, or are in any way connected with my participation in this activity including, but not limited to, acts, omissions, and/or NEGLIGENCE of any kind or nature by anyone, including but not limited to negligence of CAMP OKEECHOBEE, LLC. AND Okeechobee Shooting Sports, LLC. and its agents and employees, whether foreseen or unforeseen arising directly or indirectly out of any damage, loss, injury, paralysis, or death results from negligence. Subrogates, further agree not to sue Okeechobee Shooting Sports, LLC AND CAMP OKEECHOBEE, LLC, as a result of any injury, paralysis or death suffered in connection with my use and participation in the activities of Sport Shooting.

I am not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I will not use drugs or alcohol while handling firearms or participating in the shooting sports.

I have not been denied the purchase of a firearm through the lawful means. I am lawfully permitted to possess and handle a firearm. I have not been convicted of a felony or domestic violence.

I am not depressed or having suicidal or homicidal thoughts nor have I made plans to carry out an act of suicide or homicide.

I understand that if I have rented a firearm it is not permitted to leave the property or be used in a manner other than what was specified at the time of rental.

I will seek instruction from a Range Safety Officer prior to handling any firearm if I am not familiar with it.

If I do not understand a range rule or procedure or feel there is a safety risk to myself or others I will notify a Range Safety Officer immediately.

I understand that I am responsible for any damage to myself, property or persons by my use or misuse of firearms or actions while on site of Okeechobee Shooting Sports, LLC and Camp Okeechobee, LLC.

I have read and fully understand all of the provisions of this Release and am freely, knowingly, and voluntarily entering into this Release. In the event of my death or disability, the terms of this Release will be binding on my estate, and my personal representative, executor, administrator or guardian will be obligated to enforce them.

4. Part C: Hog Hunt Provisions

This Part applies when I take part in the Hog Hunt or any Fireside hunting, scouting, qualification or stand activity on private land. The Hog Hunt is for men 18 and older only.

License. I will hold a valid Florida hunting license on the day of the hunt and carry it with me. I understand Florida law does not require a license to take wild hogs on private land with the landowner's permission, and that the license is Fireside's own requirement for safety and accountability. I understand that if I was born on or after June 1, 1975, Florida requires me to complete a hunter safety certification before I can buy that license, and that Fireside leadership decides whether a license issued under Florida's hunter safety mentoring exemption meets Fireside's requirement. I will give Fireside my license number when asked and no later than one week before the hunt. If I do not hold a license on the day, I understand I will not be placed in a stand and I will not be refunded.

Qualification. I will complete Fireside's rifle qualification with a Fireside captain before the hunt: four shots at 100 yards on a 6-inch target, three hits. I will hunt with the rifle I qualified with. A man who has not qualified does not hunt and is not refunded.

Firearm rules. No thermal optics. Guns down 30 minutes after sundown, when the horn sounds, with no exceptions. I will fire only from my assigned stand, only into the lane my captain gave me, only at a wild hog I have positively identified and only with a backstop I can see. I will never fire toward a road, a vehicle, a structure, a buggy, another stand or the skyline. I will keep my rifle unloaded with the action open at every other time, including on every vehicle and on every ladder.

The ranch. I will stay inside the boundaries my captain shows me, close every gate I open, leave cattle, equipment and structures alone, and stay in my stand until a captain or buggy collects me. I understand the ranch is a working agricultural operation and that the Property Hosts are agritourism operators under Florida law. I have read the notice of inherent risk below and I accept it.

Fireside Hunt Safety Rules

  • Men 18 and older only. No minors on this hunt.
  • A valid Florida hunting license for every man, on his person during the hunt. Fireside's rule, stricter than Florida law.
  • Every man qualifies with a Fireside captain before the hunt. No qualification, no stand.
  • Bring the rifle you qualified with. .223 Remington or .308 Winchester recommended. Shot placement matters more than caliber.
  • No thermal optics. Daylight and low light glass only.
  • Rifles unloaded, actions open, muzzles in a safe direction except when seated in your assigned stand with the range of fire your captain gave you.
  • Shoot only from your assigned stand, only into your assigned lane, only at a hog you have positively identified, and only with a backstop you can see. Never shoot toward a road, a vehicle, a structure, a buggy, another stand or the skyline.
  • Guns down 30 minutes after sundown. When the horn sounds, unload, open the action and wait for your captain or buggy. Nobody walks out alone in the dark.
  • Stay in your stand until a captain or buggy collects you. Do not track a hog out of your lane. Wounded hogs are reported to your captain, who decides the follow up.
  • Elevated stands: three points of contact on the ladder, firearm handed up or lifted by rope unloaded, a harness is strongly recommended.
  • Buggies and trucks: seated, holding on, firearms unloaded and cased or muzzle up, no riding on racks or tailgates.
  • Zero alcohol and zero impairing substances from the time you arrive until you leave. Disclose any medication that could impair you to your captain.
  • Stay inside the ranch boundaries your captain shows you. The land beyond is private property and other hunters may be on it.
  • Field dressing is done with the captains. Gloves on. Wild hogs carry brucellosis and other diseases.
  • Follow every instruction from a Fireside captain, the ranch owner and his staff immediately. A man who will not follow instructions is driven off the ranch and forfeits his registration.

WARNING. Under Florida law, an agritourism operator is not liable for injury or death of, or damage or loss to, a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such injury, death, damage, or loss results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury, death, damage, or loss. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

Fla. Stat. 570.89(2)

5. Express Assumption Of Risk

I understand that the Activities are inherently and unavoidably dangerous, that safety rules and supervision reduce but cannot remove the danger, and that participation exposes me to risks including, without limitation:

  • Accidental or negligent discharge of a firearm by me, by another participant, by a captain, instructor or Range Safety Officer, or by a person on neighboring land.
  • Gunshot wounds, including wounds causing permanent disability, paralysis, disfigurement, loss of a limb, loss of sight, loss of hearing or death.
  • Permanent hearing damage from gunfire or muzzle blast even with hearing protection; burns and eye injury from hot brass, muzzle flash, propellant gases and ricochet; lead and other ammunition-component exposure.
  • Malfunction or failure of any firearm, ammunition, optic, holster, magazine, stand, ladder, harness, vehicle or safety device, including equipment I rent, borrow or bring.
  • Falls from elevated stands and ladders; collapse of a stand; falls from or rollover of buggies, trucks and utility vehicles; being struck by a vehicle on an unlit road.
  • Charging, biting or goring by a wild hog; injury from cattle, snakes, alligators, insects, spiders and other animals; disease carried by wild game, including brucellosis; cuts and infection during field dressing.
  • Heat exhaustion, heat stroke, dehydration, hypothermia, sunburn, lightning, high wind and other weather; fire and embers; uneven ground, holes, water, mud, fences, brush and darkness; slips, trips, falls, sprains, fractures and lacerations.
  • Cardiovascular, respiratory or other medical events triggered by exertion, heat, stress or a condition I did or did not know I had; allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, to food, plants, insects or other allergens.
  • The negligent or intentional acts of other participants, volunteers, captains, instructors, Range staff, Property Hosts and third parties, and the negligent acts or omissions of any Released Party.
  • Inadequate, missing or unfamiliar safety equipment; my own fatigue, inexperience, inattention or error; loss, theft or damage to my firearms and other property; travel to, from and within an Activity.
  • Risks not listed here and risks that are not foreseeable.

I expressly, knowingly and voluntarily assume every such risk, whether or not it is listed above, whether known or unknown, and whether or not it arises from the ordinary negligence of a Released Party. I accept full responsibility for my own safety and for the consequences of my own conduct.

6. Release, Waiver And Covenant Not To Sue

In consideration of being allowed to take part in the Activities, I, for myself and for my spouse, heirs, children, executors, administrators, personal representatives, assigns and next of kin (the "Releasing Parties"), RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the Released Parties from and for any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, costs, expenses and attorneys' fees of any kind, known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of or relate in any way to my participation in or presence at the Activities, including claims for personal injury, catastrophic injury, permanent disability and death; property loss, theft and damage; emotional distress, loss of consortium and loss of companionship; medical, rehabilitation and funeral expenses; lost income and earning capacity; and wrongful death claims brought by my estate, heirs or next of kin.

THIS RELEASE EXPRESSLY INCLUDES CLAIMS BASED ON THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASED PARTY, to the fullest extent Florida law allows. It does not release liability that a court of competent jurisdiction finds to have been caused by a Released Party's gross negligence or intentional misconduct, and it does not waive any right that Florida law says cannot be waived.

7. Indemnification And Hold Harmless

I agree, for myself and the Releasing Parties, to INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD HARMLESS the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgments, costs, expenses and attorneys' fees, including fees at trial and on appeal, that arise out of or result from my participation in the Activities, my breach of this Agreement, my violation of any law or any range or ranch rule, or my negligent or intentional acts, including claims brought by my family members, heirs, estate or anyone claiming through me, and claims by any other person for injury or damage I cause. This obligation survives the Activities and this Agreement and binds the Releasing Parties and their successors.

8. Medical Authorization

If I am injured or become ill during or in connection with an Activity, I authorize the Released Parties and any first responders and medical personnel acting at their request to summon emergency medical services for me, to give first aid, to move me and to arrange my transportation to any hospital, urgent care or other facility, and, if I cannot consent, to consent on my behalf to any examination, x-ray, anesthesia, surgery, medical or dental treatment that licensed medical personnel consider necessary or advisable. I am responsible for every medical expense incurred on my behalf. I release the Released Parties from any claim arising from action taken in good faith under this authorization. I will tell my captain before an Activity about any condition, allergy or medication that could affect my safety or treatment, and I confirm that I carry, or accept the consequences of not carrying, my own health insurance.

9. Photo And Media Release

Fireside documents its gatherings. I grant Fireside a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to photograph, film and record me at the Activities and to use the resulting images, recordings, my likeness, voice and first name for any lawful Fireside purpose, including the website, social media, email and text communications, Fireside Online, fundraising, promotion and event documentation, without compensation and without a right to inspect or approve the result. This includes consent for commercial use of my likeness under Fla. Stat. 540.08. If I do not consent, I will check the photo opt-out box when I sign. I understand I may still appear incidentally in group photos and that Fireside will make reasonable efforts to honor my opt-out in featured content.

10. Conduct, Firearms Law And Removal

I will transport, possess, carry and use every firearm and all ammunition in compliance with federal law and Florida law, including Chapter 790, Florida Statutes, and I am solely responsible for that compliance and for the lawful transport of my firearms to and from every Activity. I will bring only firearms and ammunition the Range or the ranch permits, and I will disclose what I am bringing to my captain when asked. I will not consume alcohol or any impairing substance from the time I arrive at an Activity until I leave it, and I will not handle a firearm while impaired by any medication. I will keep what other men share around the fire in confidence. I will treat every participant, captain, volunteer, Range employee and Property Host with respect.

Fireside, the Range and the Property Hosts may inspect my firearms and equipment, may refuse any firearm, ammunition or gear, and may remove me from any Activity at any time for unsafe handling, impairment, a violation of this Agreement or any rule, or conduct that in their sole judgment endangers anyone or damages the brotherhood. Removal is without refund and may end my participation in Fireside.

11. My Representations

I represent and warrant to the Released Parties that: (a) I am at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into this Agreement for myself; (b) I am legally allowed to possess and handle firearms and ammunition under federal, state and local law, I am not a prohibited person, and I have not been denied the purchase of a firearm; (c) I am in sufficient physical and mental health to take part safely, I am not experiencing thoughts of harming myself or others, and I will withdraw from any Activity if that changes; (d) I will not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any impairing substance at any Activity; (e) I have read this entire Agreement, I understand it, I have had the chance to ask questions and to consult a lawyer, and I sign it freely and voluntarily without coercion or duress; (f) every piece of information I give Fireside, including on this Agreement and at registration, is true, complete and accurate; and (g) I will tell Fireside at once if any of these statements stops being true before the Activities end.

12. General Provisions

Governing law and venue. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Activities will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Okeechobee County or Palm Beach County, Florida, and I consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force, and the invalid provision will be enforced to the maximum extent the law allows.

Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with Fireside's Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy at fireside610.com, is the entire agreement between me and Fireside about its subject matter and replaces every earlier understanding. No oral statement by anyone changes it. Headings are for convenience only. Fireside's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Electronic signature and records. I agree that this Agreement may be signed and delivered electronically, that my typed full legal name, together with my checked acknowledgments, the date and time, my network address and device information recorded by Fireside, is my electronic signature, and that it has the same force and effect as a handwritten signature under the Florida Uniform Electronic Transaction Act, Fla. Stat. 668.50, and the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 U.S.C. 7001. Fireside keeps the signed record for at least seven years and will send me a copy on request at fireside610@gmail.com.
